About the Position:

This role is primarily a hands-on, physical position responsible for receiving and processing customer parts in an industrial environment. Employees will be actively moving throughout the facility, handling materials, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, and working in a non-temperature-controlled shop setting. While some computer work is required for order processing and documentation, most of the role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately process incoming parts are critical to success. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a balance of physical work and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate ability to balance hands-on material handling with accurate computer-based order processing; candidates must be comfortable working on their feet while using systems to track and process work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.       Receive and handle incoming customer parts accurately and in an efficient manner (i.e. UPS, FedEx, truck customers, etc.), including unloading, moving, and staging materials in the facility.
2.       Physically inspect and verify incoming parts for accuracy, condition, and completeness, ensuring all required information is present to process orders correctly. Contact customers if vital information needed to process the order correctly is missing.
3.       Enter and update order and work order information in company systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4.       Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes, to safely transport and organize parts throughout the shop.
5.       Support shipping and receiving operations, including preparing outgoing shipments, packaging, and completing required documentation.
6.       Perform a variety of physical tasks throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials (up to 50 lbs.).
7.       Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine housekeeping of the receiving and staging areas.
8.       Support and complete additional projects and tasks assigned by your direct supervisor.
9.       Cross-train and assist in other departments to support production and overall business operations.
10.   Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

Job Requirements:

1.       U.S. citizenship or permanent resident required (sponsorship will not be provided for this position).
2.       Minimum high school diploma required .  Preferred associate’s or bachelor’s in business or logistics preferred.
3.       Perfect work attendance.
4.       Must be a positive member of the Shipping & Receiving team.
5.       Ability to perform continuous physical work in an industrial environment, including standing and walking for the majority of the shift, frequent bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and safely operating material handling equipment in a non-temperature-controlled facility.
6.       Ability to accurately process orders using computer systems, including data entry, work order updates, and basic troubleshooting, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
7.       Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
8.       Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written.
9.       Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing setting preferred but not required.
10.   Experience using forklift and overhead cranes preferred but not required.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
